Partners of AsRSG
Building and stewarding a diverse, sustainable base of institutional and financial partners for the AsRSG.
Mandate
To build and steward a strong, diverse and sustainable base of institutional and financial partners for the AsRSG. The sub-committee positions the group’s conservation partners as collaborators in a shared mission, not merely as funding sources, and develops relationships with foundations, governments, bilateral agencies and private sector partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement an AsRSG partnership and resource mobilisation strategy.
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective institutional partners and donors.
- Develop partnership packages, impact reports and stewardship materials.
- Work with the Communications & Knowledge Management sub-committee to ensure donor-facing materials are accurate, compelling and consistent with AsRSG messaging.
- Coordinate proposals for major grants with the Leadership Team and relevant species sub-committees.
- Maintain a partnership register tracking the status, interests and engagement history of all current and prospective partners.
- Ensure all partnerships comply with IUCN policies on corporate engagement and conflict of interest.
Relationship to leadership
The sub-committee reports to the AsRSG Leadership Team through the Chair. It coordinates closely with the Communications & Knowledge Management sub-committee on external messaging, and with the species sub-committees to ensure funding opportunities are aligned with field priorities.
