Dr. Barney Long is Senior Director of Conservation Strategies at Re:wild overseeing the global thematic programs of Endangered Species Recovery, Protected Area Management, Wildlife Crime Prevention, Restoration and Rewilding, and Exploration. Barney works on the conservation of highly endangered species and the site management and thematic approaches required to achieve their recovery. Barney has worked on Asian rhino conservation since 2006 both under WWF and Re:wild and prior to this conducted multiple surveys for Sumatran rhinos across Southeast Asia. Barney has published multiple papers on Sumatran and Javan rhinos and two book chapters.
