Dr. Anjan Talukdar is a senior wildlife veterinarian with over 20 years of experience in wildlife healthcare, conservation, and rehabilitation. Currently serving as Principal Veterinarian at Dubai Safari Park, United Arab Emirates, he leads veterinary operations for diverse species, specializing in anesthesia, surgery, and preventive care for megafauna and large carnivores. He has extensive expertise in the management of Asian elephants and one-horned rhinoceroses, including chemical immobilization, translocation, and conflict mitigation.

Dr. Talukdar has held key roles with the Wildlife Trust of India and Aaranyak, contributing to major conservation initiatives such as Indian Rhino Vision 2020. He has led internationally funded projects focused on elephant healthcare and anti-poaching support systems. A member of the IUCN SSC Asian Rhino Specialist Group, he is also an active researcher with multiple publications on wildlife medicine, rehabilitation, and conservation practices.
