Seven working groups confirmed for the 2026–2029 quadrennium

The AsRSG's Terms of Reference set out three species working groups and four functional ones, each with a designated Leadership Focal Point.

The AsRSG’s Terms of Reference for the 2026–2029 quadrennium establish seven standing working groups: three organised around species-level conservation, and four around functional areas essential to the group’s effectiveness.

Each working group is chaired by an appointed member and reports collectively to the Leadership Team. Each also has a designated Leadership Focal Point — a named member of the Leadership Team who provides day-to-day guidance and represents the group’s interests within the Leadership Team. The Focal Point is not a line manager; accountability remains shared across the full Leadership Team.

The GOH Rhino Conservation Planning working group held its introductory planning meeting on 11 May 2026, bringing together Naresh Subedi, Deba Dutta, Babu Ram Lamichhane and Amit Sharma.
