Mr Dedi Riyanto

Dedi Riyanto has served as Field Manager for Yayasan Badak Indonesia (YABI)’s Javan Rhino Conservation Program in Ujung Kulon since 2024, supporting field-based conservation and protection efforts for the critically endangered Javan rhino. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of Lampung and has more than five years of experience in rhino conservation in Indonesia. Prior to his current role, Dedi worked as a Database Analyst at YABI from 2020 to 2023 while also serving as a member of the Rhino Protection Unit (RPU) in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. In 2023, he was appointed as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator at YABI, where he led monitoring and evaluation activities for several conservation projects. Dedi is also a participant in the Rising Wildlife Leaders Program organized by the International Rhino Foundation and the Wildlife Conservation Network.
